PURPOSE:To execute debugging efficiently by skipping already debugged subroutines when a hierarchically constituted program is debugged in the single step mode. CONSTITUTION:When an already debugged subroutine is detected by a CPU11 in the debugging operation from a key input device 13, a break address is set in a register of a break point control circuit 18. When a CPU2 is operated to return to the original routine from the subroutine, an address is accessed from an address line 6, and the coincidence between this address and the already stored break point is detected, and the operation of the CPU2 is stopped. After breaking the program at the break point in this manner, the set value of the break point control circuit 18 is reset. |
