PURPOSE:To enhance dimensional stability by using a polyester support coated with polyolefin layers on both sides in a silver halide photosensitive material having a hydrophilic colloidal layer contg. a polymer latex. CONSTITUTION:Both sides of a film of polyester, such as polyethylene tere- phethalate, is coated with a layer of polyolefin, such as PE or PP to form a support. An intended photosensitive material is obtained by forming a polymer latex on this support. The polymer latex used here is an aq. dispersion of a water-insoluble polymer having an average particle diameter of 20-200mum, and it is used, preferably in an amt. of 0.01-1wt% of gelatin used as a binder by the dry weight basis. For example, polymer latices of formulae I and II are usable for said latex. |
