Compounds of the formula (I) in which R1 and R2 independently of one another are hydrogen, (substituted) alkyl, (substituted) alkoxy or (substituted) alkylthio, halogen, NO2, alkoxycarbonyl, (C1-C4)S(O)n-,(R9)(alkyl)NSO2-, alkenyloxy, alkynyloxy, -OSO2 alkyl, -OSO2CF3, -CONHR3 or -CON(R3)2, R5 is hydrogen, halogen, mono- or dialkylamino, (substituted) alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, allyloxy or propargyloxy, R6 and R7 independently of one another are hydrogen, (substituted) alkyl or halogen, R8 is alkyl, alkenyl or benzyl, R9 is (substituted) alkyl or alkoxy, m is the number 1 to 3, n is the number 0 to 2, X is CH or N, and their salts, have advantageous herbicidal properties against monocotyledon and dicotyledon harmful plants. They are suitable for selective use in large-scale crop-growing and furthermore have a plant-growth-regulating action.
