PURPOSE:To economize washing water in a belt press type dehydrator by providing a model washing machine behind a washing machine and providing means for comparing the degrees of washing of filter cloths by both washing machines and controlling the flow rate of the washing water for the washing machine. CONSTITUTION:A model washing machine 24 is provided behind a washing machine in a belt press type dehydrator for sludge. Detectors 20, 25 for detecting the degrees of washing of filter cloths are provided near the rear of both washing machines 15, 24 and the degrees of washing of the filter cloths are detected by utilizing an ultrasonic wave, etc. The two detected degrees of washing are fed to a control device 26 which compares both degrees of washing and operates a control valve 19 of a washing water pipe 18 thereby decreasing or increasing the flow rate of the washing water from a spray nozzle 14 and performing washing always at the optimum flow rate of the water. |
