PURPOSE:To effectively vent gas and decrease bulge after long storage of a battery in a Leclanche type flat battery by placing a gas permeable film in the periphery between an electroconductive film and a separator and bonding them. CONSTITUTION:In a flat type battery using zinc as active material of a negative electrode 4, manganese dioxide as active material of a positive electrode 2, and mainly zinc chloride as electrolyte, a gas permeable film 7 is placed in the periphery between an electroconductive film 5 and a nonwoven fabric separator 3 and they are bonded. As the gas permeable film 7, for example, polymethylsiloxane, poly(4-methylpentene 1), or porous polypropylene is used. |
