PURPOSE:To enable to insert an edge of a printing paper without jamming when inserting the paper into a printer, by retracting a paper end switch from a quide along which the printing paper is passed, in conjuction with a releasing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:At the time of releasing, when a releasing lever 4 is operated, a semicylindrical shaft is turned counterclockwise to push up a lever 20, and a lever 21 is also pushed up in conjuction therewith, so that the paper end switch 14 fitted to the tip of the lever 21 is also pushed up. Since the switch 14 is supported by a shaft 16, it is rotated counterclockwise with the shaft 16 as a center, so that a lever 15 is separated from upper and lower paper guides 13, 2, resulting in that nothing is present between the paper guides 13, 2, and the printing paper can be easily inserted. Accordingly, any thin paper can be inserted without being damaged, and when the releasing condition is cleared, the paper end switch can display its function. |
