PURPOSE:To simplify hardware by invalidating an optional timer counter in a timer counter stack allocated dynamically. CONSTITUTION:A timer registration register part 1 holds a timer value outputted from an external circuit, a timer control word storage part 3 holds plural timer control words and timer significance identifiers, and a registration address pointer part 4 holds the address of a timer control word storage part. A timer significance identifier storage part 5 holds a timer significance identifier. A timer updating register 8 holds a timer control word read out of the timer control word storage part 3 in timer update and has a decrementer in a monitor time value field. The output of the timer significance identifier storage part 5 and the timer significance identifier read out of the timer control word storage part 3 are compared with each other by a comparator 9, and the contents of the pointer part 4 and an updating address pointer part 7 are compared with each other by a comparator 10. |
