PURPOSE:To simplify troublesome adjusting operation by changing the degree of emphasis of sharpness of each color in response to a function of an inputted picture signal. CONSTITUTION:One color D0 in a picture signal Di is inputted to a sharp signal/ unsharp signal forming device 1, the formed sharp signal S0 and unsharp signal U0 are inputted respectively to a subtractor 2 and a difference (S0-U0) is obtained. Further, the picture signal Di is converted into the function k(D1, D2, D3) for the sharpening processing at a function generator 3, the function is inputted to a multiplier 4 together with the difference (S0-U0) obtained by the subtractor 2 and the result of multiplication k(D1, D2, D3).(S0-U0) is inputted to an adder 5. The output Di of the adder 5 becomes Di+k(D1, D2, D3).(S0-U0). |
