PURPOSE:To transfer easily data at a high speed through an inexpensive constitution by controlling the operation state of a microprocessor with a data transfer request signal outputted from a magnetic storage device and an address signal outputted from the microprocessor. CONSTITUTION:The microprocessor 5 sets parameters required for data transfer in a magnetic storage device 7 then executes a block transfer instruction for the data transfer. The microprocessor 5 reads data out of a main storage device 8 as the origin of the data transfer and stores temporarily it in an accumulator. Then, the microprocessor 5 outputs an address signal indicating the data buffer of the magnetic storage device 7 as the transfer destination of data and a transfer data signal, and a state control circuit 6 places the microprocessor 5 in a stand-by state to stop the operation. Then, the microprocessor 5 is released from the stand-by state with a data request signal outputted from the magnetic storage device 7 to complete one-byte data transfer. |
