<p>1. An internal combustion engine of the in-line type and comprising a cylinder head (2), a cylinder crankcase (4) formed by two half casings (41, 42), the plane of assembly (21) of which coincides with the plane containing the cylinder axes (22), and forming after assembly crankshaft bearings (30) and an oil sump (32), and a movable coupling means (6) comprising in particular a one-piece connecting rod (10) and a crankshaft (8) comprising dismantleable elements, the cylinder head (2) being extended over a height necessary for the engagement therein of at least one separate suspended liner (18), characterised in that the crank pins (81) and journals (82) are mounted in floating rings (84) so as to reduce the mean rubbing pressure by a reduction in the diameters of said crank pins and journals.</p> |
