PURPOSE:To increase a contact area with hot air, to bring even the inside to a high temperature and to obtain a high output by previously forming a groove to a joining end section when a semiconductor P type element and a semiconductor N type element are joined, the joining section is used as the end section at a high temperature and a thermoelectric generating element is manufactured. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor P type element 1 and a semiconductor N type element 2 are joined to form a joining section 3, and both elements are bent to an approximately U shape from the joining surface section. Consequently, the joining surface 3 section A is used as an end section at a high temperature exposed into the hot air path of a burner, etc., antibonding end sections B are kept at a low temperature, lead wires 4 are fitted to the end sections B and an electrical output is obtained.
