The appts. has a scale wheel (7) fastened to a shaft (6), and graduated in suitable dimensions for flow. An adjustable throttle flange of the conical iris type (1) is used, and fits into a short channel part (2). The flange is adjusted with two stays (3) connected to a gear rod (4) activated by a gearwheel (5) on a shaft (6). Two recesses (8) on each side of the flange are connected to a differential pressure gauge (9). - The suction end of the channel part (2) has a funnel shaped unit (10) for minimising inlet losses. The other end of the channel part is provided with a conical iris type throttle flange (11) for rapid connection to different diameters on a suction point connected to the flange (11), and air flow (12) is sucked through the funnel body (10) and the flange (1) in its entirety. The scale wheel (7) is turned until the pressure gauge (9) shows a differential pressure, and then the flow can be read from the scale wheel (7). (Provisional Basic advised week 85/09)(1/3) |
