An information recording medium is disclosed which comprises a transparent glass plate support (1) and a recording layer (4) of the kind which enables writing and reading of information by means of a laser beam, wherein a layer made up of an inorganic substance (2) and a layer made up of an organic polymeric substance (3) are additionally provided as the interlayer in a double or multiple layer form between the support and the recording layer.
