PURPOSE:To obtain a cover with a clear line pattern, by arranging a space so that a plastic softened sheet can surround the lower part of a linear engaging member when the plastic sheet is vacuum-formed with the linear engaging member being arranged in a mold. CONSTITUTION:A linear engaging member 5 of a colored transparent plastic is placed on a mold 1 having a plurality of air suction holes 2. The suction opening section 3 of the air suction hole 2 is a little wider than the diameter of the engaging member 5, and has a depth to form a space 6 so that a softened plastic sheet 4 can go below the engaging member 5, and vacuum forming is effected using the mold 1. When the forming is effected, on the suction of air the softened plastic sheet 4 is formed along the mold 1, and at the same time part of the plastic sheet 4 goes below the engaging member 5 to embrace part of the outer circumference of the engaging member 5. |
