A container and closure assembly (10) includes a container (12) having a body portion with an open end. The assembly also includes a removable cap liner (14) including a seal for sealably engaging the container at its open end and a removable cap (16) which substantially covers the cap liner and thereby the open end of the container. The cap is adapted for reclosing the container after it is removed from the container. To form the assembly, a preliminary container (52) is molded which includes a body portion (58) and a neck and shoulder portion (56). The two portions are separated from each other with the body portion forming an open-ended second container. A closure is formed from the neck and shoulder portion which is then attached to the open end of the second container. |
