PURPOSE:To prevent disturbance or missing of dots from occurring at the time of releasing, by a method wherein the distance over which an ink sheet is fed after transfer is set to be at least the length of a recording paper, the arrival of the leading end of the recording paper at a releasing position is detected, and the sheet is taken up in accordance with the detection. CONSTITUTION:In recording, the ink sheet 1 and the recording paper 2 are fed step by step in the condition of being pressed by a recording head 3, and are fed onto a guide plate 10 having a length of approximately equal to the length of the paper 2. Next, the ink sheet 1 is gradually taken up by a take-up roll 6 by driving a motor M2. In this case, the sheet 1 is continuously taken up without sagging, by the function of a slipping mechanism consisting of a helical spring provided on a shaft for the roll 6 or the like. When recording is completed and the trailing end of the paper 2 is detected by a sensor S1, the head 3 is separated, the ink sheet 1 is released from restriction, is continuously taken up by operating the motor M2, and is released from the paper 2 at a corner part A of the guide plate 10. |
