PURPOSE:To increase the rate of dissipation of ubidecarenone useful as a cardiac function improving agent from blood and the rate of transfer of the compound from blood to the organ, by coating a ubidecarenone-containing ribosome with a mixed ester of a polysaccharide fatty acid and inorganic acid. CONSTITUTION:A coated ribosome containing ubidecarenone is prepared by coating a ubidecarenone-containing ribosome with a mixed ester of a polysaccharide fatty acid and inorganic acid. The elemental substance constituting the ribosome membrane is mainly phospholipids (e.g. phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, etc.) and sterols. Sterol is preferably cholesterol. The necessary amounts of phospholipid and sterol is >=10mol and >=1mol per 1mol of ubidecarenone, respectively. The mixed ester of polysaccharide fatty acid and inorganic acid is preferably the ester of a polysaccharide such as amylopectin, pllulan, etc. with palmitic acid and phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid. |
