PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly of the captioned marine engine and simplify the shape of a sealing flange by supporting a pair of sealing ends arranged between the outside of a propulsion device and the hull side using each one sealing groove provided on the outside surface of the propulsion device and the hull side. CONSTITUTION:The mounting plate 35 of a sealing flange 34 is fixed on the top 23a of an engine installation stand 23 by using a screw 37. A sealing groove 38 is formed between the retainer piece 36 of the sealing flange 34 and the top 23a. In addition, a recess 40 is formed at the lower end of the upper case 25 of a propulsion device and a sealing groove 41 is formed between this recess 40 and the top 26a of the intermediate case 26 of the propulsion device. On the other hand, the engagement ring section 51 of an inside seal 49 is inserted in the recessed groove 52 of an outside seal 46 and both seals 46 and 49 are integrated. As a result, both seals 46 and 49 are supported by separately fitting the engagement ring sections 48 and 51 of the integrated seals in the sealing grooves 38 and 41. |
