NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R is H, or CH3; n is 1-4). USE:Useful as printing ink of ultraviolet light curable type or vehicle for coating compound. Having high curing rate. PREPARATION:A compound shown by the formula II is esterified with acrylic acid or methacrylic acid in the presence of an acidic catalyst such as sulfuric acid, p-toluene, etc. in a solvent such as n-hexane, benzene, etc. at 60-130 deg.C, preferably at 75-120 deg.C to give a compound shown by the formula I . A stoichiometric quantity or more of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid is used, a molar ratio of the carboxylic acid to the alcohol is 1.0-2.0, preferably 1.1-1.5, and an amount of the catalyst used is 0.1-10mol%, preferably 1-5mol% based on acrylic acid or methacrylic acid. |
