PURPOSE:To prepare glycoside useful as a raw material for producing polyurethane foam, etc. in a shortened process easily without causing corrosion by an acid and coloring of reaction solution, by using perfluorosulfonic acid resin as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A monosaccharide (e.g., glucose, mannose, arabinose, xylose, ribose, etc.) or a compound (e.g., maltose, cellobiose, dextrin, starch, etc.) to be easily hydrolyzed into a monosaccharide is reacted with a monohydric or polyhydric alcohol in the presence of preferably 5-20wt% perfluorosulfonic acid resin (e.g., perfluoro-3,6-dioxa-4-methyl-7-octenesulfonic acid, etc.), to give the desired glycide. |
