PURPOSE:To prevent normal reflection on the inner surface of a panel glass and improve display quality as a display tube by forming a powder layer made of low melting point on the inner surface of the panel glass and overlapping a phosphor layer on its top. CONSTITUTION:After a low melting point glass powder layer 2 and a phosphor layer 3 are sequentially coated and formed on the inner surface of a panel glass 1 and on its top, they are baked. The glass powder layer 2 is melted into a glass layer 2' and is made to touch the panel glass 1 under optically close cnditions and the gap of the phosphor layer is filled with the glass powder melt substance. Then the panel glass surface side layer of the phosphor layer 3 is made to optically touch the glass layer 2' and phosphor particles are made to interactively touch in the panel glass surface side of the phosphor layer 3 through glass. As a result, since both the panel glass 1 and glass layer 2' are made to touch under optically close conditions and there is no difference in a refractive index between both, external light is not reflected on the inner surface of the panel glass 1 and advances into the inner part of the glass layer 2'. |
