A shaft mechanism for a hand-loom of the shaft type consisting of a stand in which a shaft-activating arrangement with pedals (37) a treadle set and shaft-activating rods (43) are arranged and which detachably support a shaft frame, in which a shaft mechanism with a number of shafts (27) and steel heddles in order to achieve a shed with lower and higher positioned warp threads (15', 15'') according to a previously chosen weaving pattern is mounted as are other required devices for the loom, and where the shaft is formed of permanent frames, which when beat out are arranged to project upwards from a fixed lowered position, and where the pedals (37) treadles are arranged as two-armed levers, which are connected to and activate one shaft (27) each, and where the shaft (27) in their fixed lower position are positioned in a successively declining level seen in the direction behind the inlaid side, so that the warp (15) in an inactivated position creates an angle downward with the point of angle positioned in the rearmost shaft's heddle eye, and where the pedals (37) treadle set have considerably long arms, while the shaft-activated levers are of different length, so that the pedals treadles that activate the rear shaft lift these to a higher level than the pedals treadles which activate the foremost shaft, preferably to such a successively inclining level, that the warp creates a whole, clean shed, which is symmetrical in regards to the horizontal plane.<IMAGE> |
