PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophoretic medium material easy to handle, by constituting the same of two sheets wherein the combined thickness thereof is 80mum or more and, when the thickness of one of them is set to D<1> and that of the other one to D<2>, the value of D<1>/D<2> is set within a range of 3/2-2/3. CONSTITUTION:In two sheets 1, 3 constituting an electrophoretic medium material, when the thickness of the sheet 1 is set to D<1> and that of the sheet 3 to D<2>, the value of D<1>/D<2> is brought to a range of 3/2-2/3. When the thicknesses of two sheets 1, 3 are almost same as mentioned above, it is necessary to set the combined thickness of the sheets 1, 3 to 80mum or more in order not only to protect an electrophoretic medium film 2 but also to hold the self-holdability of an electrophoretic analytical material as a whole. Because the medium material has the sheets 1, 3 of which the combined thickness is 80mum or more, the medium film 2 becomes easy to prepare. Because the medium film 2 becomes hard to break during storage and electrophoresis, the medium film 2 has almost no possibility of breakage even if foreign matter is contacted with the surface of the medium film 2 during formation, storage and electrophoresis or the medium material is handled by holding the part of the medium film 2 and the medium material easy to handle is obtained. |
