PURPOSE:To improve the safety by adopting an arrangement in which a wick is set in a burning position when a continuous electrifying type solenoid is electrified which is disposed in a locking mechanism for a wick movement mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When respective contact points are opened due to a power stoppage or an actuation of a safety device, the power supply to a solenoid 2 is terminated and a movable iron core 2a projects upward, causing locking hardware 24 to disengage from a locking pin 27 to unlock so that a wick setting lever 23 may move upward by means of a spring 28 and the wick 22 may move downward at the same time. Because of such movement, an operation switch 5 is opened to terminate the power supply to a motor 4 for a blower and a power source lamp 3, and the burner is extinguished. When restarting, unless the power stoppage is terminated or the safety device is reset, the solenoid 2 cannot be electrified even if the wick setting lever 23 is set, and so it cannot be locked, inhibiting the restart. In this manner, the safety is improved. |
