The present invention relates to a manufacturing process which makes it possible to introduce fragrance, for a longer or shorter but calculable duration, into the body of a ceramic object (earthenware, stoneware or porcelain), by impregnating to (at) the core under vacuum or under pressure with a solution, the shard, enamelled or non-enamelled, being removed from the firing in its maturation phase, in order that vitrification is carried out only at the surface.
