The invention relates to an apparatus for conditioning the air inside a room. This apparatus comprises an induction duct 22, to which it is possible to supply primary air in the vicinity of its lower end by means of an induction member of the nozzle type 26, an induction current then being formed in the duct 22 in the form of a mixture of primary air and of ambient air aspirated in the vicinity of the floor. The mixture can emerge into the room close to the top of the apparatus via an outlet in the form of a grating 24. To heat the mixed current of the induction duct 22, a heating body 12 is provided.
