The invention relates to a tread strip for a tyre casing or for an elastic tread, noteworthy by its very low tread cut ratio, of the order of 10 %, giving it practically the behaviour of a slick tyre on dry ground, and capable of draining and discharging water in a much better way than conventional tread patterns. This tread strip consists of wells 1 opening out onto internal channels 2 and of thin strips 3. The wells drain the water from the contact surface, then the water is discharged through the ducts. The thin strips, located so as to allow easy removal from the mould, give excellent properties of adherence on compacted snow and on ice. <IMAGE> |
