PURPOSE:To perform flaw detection over the entire surface of the bevel part of a steel tube by setting a probe at a specific position from a tube end by using a tube end detector and detecting the rotating speed of the steel tube, and feeding the probe axially by certain pitch at specific time. CONSTITUTION:Two probes S1 and S2 and the end part detector 2 are arranged axially in order. When a probe holder 1 is inserted into the steel tube X along its internal surface. The end part detector 2 detects the end part and a controller 4 outputs a signal to an actuator 5 to position the holder 1. As the steel pipe X is rotated, its rotation is detected by a pulse generator 5 and sent to the controller 4.
