Methods for enumerating leukocyte subpopulations employing a single analog channel. Right angle and forward angle light scatter measurements, characteristic of leukocyte subpopulations such as monocytes, granulocytes, and lymphocytes are reduced to a single parameter through nonlinear transformation whereby cluster distinction is maintained, and the cells are enumerated for a clinically useful histogram representation.
