For conditioning radioactive concentrates from nuclear power stations, it is proposed to extract the concentrates, to separate them from the suction air stream, to distribute them homogeneously and to dry and pack them. To carry out this process, an apparatus is also proposed which has a suction unit (1), an implement (2) with a precipitator and an intermediate vessel having an agitator, a drier (6), a pump (5) located between the separator and the drier, a packing implement (7) and a control instrument (10) functionally connected to the individual components. The resulting advantage is a substantially smaller requirement for drum volume than has hitherto been necessary for the conditioning of radioactive concentrates. <IMAGE>
