In the case of furniture which is produced from solid wood, holes which originate from the bearing surfaces are incorporated into the parts which are to be connected. In the assembled state, these holes form a hollow chamber 7, 8. In each case one filling opening 9 and one venting opening 10 open into the hollow chambers 7, 8. The hollow chambers 7, 8 are filled with a plastic, in the sense of plugging them. Once the filling material has changed into the solid state, a high-load-capacity, permanent connection of the individual parts is ensured, a positive lock being achieved by means of holes which pass through one another. <IMAGE>
