The invention relates to a device which possesses a calender (40) consisting of a plurality of sheets, such as for example a wall calender, wherein at least one calender sheet is provided per week and wherein the figures assigned to the days are arranged at a constant distance apart in rows (41, 42), a marker (55) for displaying the current date, and an apparatus (50) which contains a motor and transport means driven by the motor and connected to the marker, and by which the marker is not merely supported but also automatically displaced - either continuously or in one step within 24 hours - to the next figure in the row.
