The claimed seal design is developed and tested to seal rolling bearings filled with oil which lubrication properties are often superior to greasy lubricants To prevent oil leakage and at the same time keeping wear and temperature in the running bearing at an acceptable level the claimed seal is designated as follows: Seal (5) comprises a ring (6) made of a stiff material to which an annular element (7) is attached made of a suitable resilient material. End-part 7 is bent over the end-part of ring (6) towards the rolling elements (3) whilst the gap between end-part of ring (6) and inner race-ring (2) thereby is only somewhat larger than the thickness of end-part (7 min ) of seal (7). To minimize wear and temperature seal end-part (7) can be shaped correspondingly e.g provided with grooves.
