Phosphate binder compsns. for uraemic patients - comprising aluminium cpd. and fat or oil

Orally administrable compsns. for binding phosphates in the gastrointestinal tract of uraemic patients are prepd. from an Al cpd. (I), esp. Al(OH)3, and a fat or oil (II), and are characterised by producing and/or maintaining a low Al level in the serum of uraemic patients. The (I):(II) ratio is at least 1:200, pref. 1:4. (II) is an oil or fat which is digested or attacked in the neutral or alkaline parts of the gastrointestinal tract but not in the acidic parts, (stomach and duodenum).
