Securing paint scraper blade to handle pin - by cold upsetting end of clamped pin in bore of blade with single press ram stroke

The method is intended for securing the scraper blade to the end of the handle pin of a paint scraper. The pin is clamped and the blade is placed such that the projecting pin end engages the bore in the blade preferably with clearance. The pin end is then upset. The pin is pref. clamped in a vertical position and the blade is supported by spring-loaded pins above the jaws. During the operation, the blade can move down together with the pin material which is being deformed.
