The machine includes a horizontal plate 1, which can move vertically, forming a support surface 1a for workpieces 30, a cylinder 9 with cutting blades 10 located above the support surface and perpendicular to it, presser members 11 upstream and downstream of the cylinder for exerting an elastic pressure on the workpiece. It is characterised by a conveyor belt 7 running in a closed loop, its upper length 7a located on the support surface 1a along its axis being intended to support the workpiece 30 and to cause the latter to translate, with simultaneous intervention of the cutting blades 10 on the upper face of the workpiece 30. <IMAGE>
