PURPOSE:To attain ease of replacement at failure by incorporating a cartridge having a recording member with a picture reading means to use the incorporated part without replacing at recording and picture reading. CONSTITUTION:An electric circuit board 5 is fixed on a picture reading and recording cassette 4, a reading sensor 6, a condensor lens 7, and a lighting electric lamp 8 are mounted on the board 5 and the board is fixed on a carriage together with the recording cassette 4. The arrangement of each component of the picture reading section is adjusted so that the reading position 9 is at the upper part of a recording head 10, so that the reading section 9 is observed visually at all times. Since the center of the reading section 9 and the recording section 10a are coincident with each other in their main scanning position, the moving control of the carriage 1 is simple.
