PURPOSE:To obtain a portable television receiver with a thin profile and also large screen size by adopting the structure and arrangement with free opening and closing so as to store a screen and a reflecting mirror in a cabinet. CONSTITUTION:The combination of three projecting tubes 17R, 17G, 17B and projecting lenses 18R, 18G, 18B of R, G, B is fixed at the bottom part of a cabinet main body 10. The projecting lens 18 (18R-18B) of the 1st reflecting mirror 19 is placed in front and fixed to the cabinet main body 10 and the 2nd reflecting mirror 20 is fitted to the rear side of a cabinet cover 11. The projecting range, angle and the magnification of the projective lens 18 to a transmission type lenticular screen 13 are set 4-5 times, and a screen 13 is arranged so that the picture of the size of 6-7 inches is projected.
