PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the modulating means of a pyroelectric type detector and realize its excellent characteristics and long life by providing a reflecting plate of a concave mirror to a piezoelectric oscillating piece and imposing modulation upon a path of radiant energy. CONSTITUTION:When a piezoelectric transducer 16 is driven by a driving power source 18, a piezoelectric oscillator 14 oscillates, and the radiant energy from a radiation source 11 is converged excellently by the reflecting surface 17 of the concave mirror provided to the oscillating piece 15 at a position in the radiant energy passage and displaced large near a detector 12. Then, the radiant energy from the radiation source 11 is incident to the detector 12 periodically and modulated to excellent characteristics by an increase in sensitivity resulting from the large displacement and focussing. Thus, the constitution of the modulating means of the pyroelectric detector is simplified and the excellent characteristics and long life are obtained. |
