PURPOSE:To improve the radiation effect and increase the luminous efficiency of a fluorescent lamp, which is constituted by installing a curved fluorescent tube and a stabilizer in a case, by charging the case with a gas at not lower than 1.5 atmospheric pressure. CONSTITUTION:A saddle-like fluorescent tube 4 is installed in a case 3 consisting of a glass blobe 1 and a metallic case 2. After the internal air of the globe 1 is exhausted, the globe 1 is charged with nitrogen at a pressure of not less than 1.5 atmospheric pressure. Owing to the above constitution, heat radiated from the fluorescent tube 4 is delivered out of the case 3 by the conduction of the gas. As a result, excessive temperature increase of the fluorescent tube 4 is suppressed through the enhancement of radiation effect, thereby enabling the luminous efficiency of a fluorescent lamp to be improved. |
