PURPOSE:To facilitate decision of combination of dot area percentage in each color plate by using each chromaticity of an object to be measured. CONSTITUTION:The conversion table of chromaticity versus combination of dot area percentage showing relationship between chromaticity and a combination of dot area percentage corresponding to the chromaticities of plural color separated plates is stored 10. Each chromaticity of the object to be measured is measured 20 and stored 30. The chromaticities stored 10 in the conversion table are compared with those of the object, and ones nearest to those of the object are selected 40 from those of the table, and a combination of said percentage is displayed 50.
