PURPOSE:To obtain a focus voltage having a sufficient peak voltage by making the peak of a sinusoidal wave voltage produced by the series resonance in response to a flyback pulse coincident with the timing of the flyback pulse. CONSTITUTION:The flyback pulse extracted from an intermediate tap of a flyback pulse transformer 5 is applied to a series resonance circuit comprising a capacitor 7 and a coil 6. The current flowing to this resonance circuit becomes a sinusoidal waveform delayed by pi/2 from the flyback pulse and a voltage waveform between terminals of the coil 6 becomes a sinusoidal waveform lead by pi/2. Thus, since the flyback pulse is applied to this voltage waveform at a point B, this waveform has a peak voltage of >=200V, and this result is effective as the focus voltage of a CRT4.
