PURPOSE:To produce a high-precision electron gun with a good yield while preventing defective welding by a method, in which either a plate body or an electrode bottom is provided with small holes for exhaustion and the plate body is made to stick to the bottom while, in this state, the plate body is welded to the electron by laser irradiation. CONSTITUTION:A plate body 28 is piled up on the bottom 24 of the first electrode proper 23, the air inside an assembly jig 18 is exhausted from an exhaust pipe 19 by an exhaust device while the air pressure inside the jig 18 is reduced so that the piled-up plate body 28 is adsorbed to stick to the bottom 24 through the small holes 27 on the bottom 24 of the first electrode proper 18 placed on the placing part 20. In said adsorbed state, laser light 31 irradiates the plate body 28 from the direction of the arrow A for welding the plate body 28 to the bottom 24 of the first electrode proper. In this way, by exhausting the inside of the jig 18 through the small holes 27 of the first electrode proper 23, the plate body 28 sticks closely to the bottom 24 of the first electrode proper 23 so as to cause no defective welding thus securing sure welding.
