PURPOSE:To prevent a sample from damages or the like precisely by connecting a reset terminal of a flip-flop on the uppermost bit of a register and clear terminals of other flip-flops to respective initial clear pulse output terminals of a CPU. CONSTITUTION:The operation of a material testing machine 1 is controlled by a control signal from the CPU2 through a D/A converter 3 and an interference amplifier 4. The register 6 having plural FFs 8a-8h is arranged between the CPU2 and the D/A converter 3 to form a control output protecting circuit 10. Out of the respective FFs 8a-8h, the FF 8a on the uppermost bit is connected to an initial clear pulse output terminal 2j of the CPU2 through its preset terminal 12 and other FFs 8b-8h are connected to the output terminal 2j through their clear terminals 14b-14h in common. At the time of turning on a power supply or the like, said pulse is inputted from the CPU2 to the respective terminals 12, 14b-14h and set up respectively.
