PURPOSE:To perform correct trimming by correcting the holding angle of an original on the surface of a rotating drum on the basis of an image of the original and a linear image which are displayed on a monitor. CONSTITUTION:A base paper 15 to be assigned is set at a specific position on a data tablet 14, and a horizontal or vertical reference line drawn on the base paper 15 is selected. Then, the line is pressed with a cursor 16 to input its position data to a controller 10. The controller 10 processes the position data to calculate the angle to the horizontal or vertical reference line on the base paper 15. A mark is displayed on the monitor 13 on the basis of the calculation result. Then, an original F is attached to the drum 1 temporarily and the drum 1 and a cylindrical surface picture readout part 3 are moved properly so that a part to be trimmed is within the image pickup range of a readout part 3. Further, the both are put closer to each other then fixed so as to position the original F on the drum 1 near the light incidence end of the readout part 3. |
