PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by providing a holding means which holds shutter blades at an exposure run end position and a return run end position with the magnetic attractive force of electromagnetic member of an electromagnetic driving source and the mechanical engagement force of an engagement part. CONSTITUTION:At least one of permanent magnets 2a-2d, yokes 1a-1c, and an electromagnetic coil 4 which constitute the electromagnetic member equipped on the fixed or movable side of the electromagnetic driving source which provide driving force to shutter blades 12a-12c and 13a-13c to run is used so as to hold the shutter blades 12a-12c and 13a-13c securely at positions where the shutter blades finish exposure runs and stop and/or at positions where the shutter blades return to run and stop. Then, the holding means 6 utilizes its electromagnetic force to prevent the shutter blades 12a-12c and 13a-13c from running unnecessarily except during shutter releasing.
