The weed killing device comprises a fibre material which sucks up weed killer preparation by capillary action. When the device is pulled over the ground on which weeds are growing, the herbicide is pressed out of the fibre material and transferred to the weeds. In order to provide an effective aspiration of the weed killer into the fibre material, and an even covering of herbicide over the ground weeds, the fibre material is inserted in a hose-shaped rot-resistant casing permeable to the herbicide. A rigid perforated tube feeds the herbicide into the casing and the fibre material. The casing is retained in a holder which in turn is connected to a forward drive unit for moving the whole assembly over the ground surface. |
