A pot-type oil burner is adapted so as to be capable of instantaneously carrying out fire-extinguishing without generating bad air. The oil burner is consequently constructed in such a manner that an oil supply pipe 38 and an air supply pipe 32 open into a single pipe 54 extending into a pot 12, and that the single pipe 54 is provided at the end portion thereof with a nozzle pipe 56 extending into the pot, which allows a fuel oil carried on air to be ejected in the form of fine particles therefrom into the pot. <IMAGE>
