<p>Detergent bars contain at least 10 wt.% soap or anionic, cationic, zwitterionic, semipolar, amphoteric and/or nonionic surfactants, at least 0.1 wt.% of alkali(ne earth) or (subst) ammonium chlorite or bromite to provide halite ions in soln, less than 20 wt.% water, and opt. to 50 wt.% inert filler. An aq. soln. of the compsn. should have a pH of at least 6. Textiles etc. are bleached when exposed to UV radiation while in contact with a soln. of the compsn. The bars can also be used on the skin, in combination with UV radiation, to give what is described e.g. as a refreshing effect.</p> |
