PURPOSE:To reduce the man-hour of forming work and to increase efficiency of production by heating electrically and soften the end of a metallic body to be worked which is held against the face of a finishing die. CONSTITUTION:A finishing die face 3 is concaved on a receiving die 2 made of metallic material of high melting point such as tungsten, etc. A working end of a metallic body 1 to be worked is held against the die face 3, and large current is applied between a holding electrode 4 that holds the middle part of the metallic body 1 and the die 2. The working end of the metallic body 1 that is in contact with the die face 3 is heated and softened. Under this condition, pushing pressure is enlarged and the end part is bulged outward. In this way, the man- hour of working is reduced and the efficiency of production is increased. |
